We’re looking for 12-19 year old music makers, spoken word artists and film & production crew for an epic live-streamed gig at the end of May this year!
Lyrical Lockdown will be broadcast into homes all over the world from a location in Corby on Saturday 29 May and we are looking for a team of young people to make it happen.
Dates: Friday 16 April to Saturday 29 May.
Where: In person at The Core At Corby Cube.
Who are we looking for?
Whether you are a musician already or have never touched an instrument before it doesn’t matter. We want you to work with us to create at least 1 track in your preferred music style. You will work on lyrics and music, electronic or acoustic and have 6 weeks to prepare to play on the live stream stage on 29 May.
You’ve got the words but you don’t need the music? Great, we’ll work with you to present a piece of poetry for the event. The theme and style is up to you, we’ll help you put a shape on it and prepare you for performance.
Film and Production Crew:
If you are not interested in creating music and poems, not a problem, Lyrical Lockdown will be looking for a film production crew to put the live stream performance together. Each week you will be learning everything required from how to set up a camera and record a song to how to stream and present on the internet as well as thinking about locations for the gig and marketing for the event.
Where and When:
The sessions will start with an intro session on Friday 16 April at 5pm in person at The Core at Corby Cube. Sessions are 1 hour long.
Sessions will run every Friday at 5pm from the 16 April to 28 May with the Live Stream Event on Saturday 29 May.
The first session on Friday 16 April will be an informal taster session. Come along and see if it’s for you.
There is none, this experience is completely free!
