NextGen Creatives: Stage Management

Be part of Royal & Derngate’s NextGen Creatives programme and discover what it is to be a Stage Manager and Production Manager at one of the busiest regional theatres in the country. You will work with experienced industry professionals who will guide you through a 10 week training programme, including Q&As with Royal & Derngate staff and creatives working on the Made in Northampton production of Gin Craze. Understand the roles, duties and skills required in Stage One of this FREE training programme designed for young people seriously interested in a backstage theatre career.

While Covid-19 restrictions are in place, weekly sessions will be online via Zoom with additional in-person opportunities at the theatre once these have been lifted. Those who sign up must be prepared to take part in every session and places are limited. While the 10 week programme is currently on Tuesdays, there may be additional opportunities to extend your learning on other days. We are particularly interested in young people who are currently under-represented within backstage career roles.
